Welcome, Dear Readers. Do you ever wake up in “one of those moods” where the whole world is just one big ball of bleh?
Well, this blog is officially announcing a new holiday.
National Bleh Day!
And in honor of National Bleh Day, let’s do something bleh by taking stupid pictures of the stuff on our desks. Here, I’ll get us started:
And there you have it, Dear Reader, our very first celebration of National Bleh Day. I hope your day will be as bland, and mediocre and uneventful as is humanly possible on, this, our very first National Bleh Day!

I feel fairly ambivalent about this day, but I concur on the blehness of it. I am going to eat an apple right now, but I don’t care about it one or another. Just something to do…
That was the most Blehish celebration ever. At one point I almost raised my arm to cheer, but just couldn’t work up the energy. I feel too bleh to even finish typ . . . .
Bleh, it would have been, if my grand-daughter had not found Vick in my bed-side drawer and smeared it on my nedroom window so that tonight I shall WISH I had sinusitis! And that she hadn’t followed that up by spraying a beaker full of dried rice on the kitchen surfaces! Will Bleh Day always be a Monday?
Pat! You’re grand-daughter is a genius. Oh how I wish I would have thought of smearing Vicks on my grandmother’s windows! And the beaker of dired rice was inspired. She sounds like someone I’d like to hire to come over and un-bleh my house! 😀 I think Naitonal Bleh Day should always be on a Monday, don’t you?
Please tell me your office at least provides a cake with everyone’s name on it each day for National Bleh Day. Even if it tastes bleh at least you can all gather in the break room and eat really slow until it’s time to go home.
I stopped at Pottery Barn to get a catalog when I was downtown yesterday. And guess what? They took Grams off the $54 white board and there are no references to sustainable anything. I was inconsolable for the rest of the day!
All that random stuff you show in your desk made me feel homesick. Even so I have been laughing out loud to this post!
I probably would have eaten 4 bowls off 80 calorie cereal also. And I would have finished that stale chocolate candy too. Currently I’m wearing clear nail polish and am wondering if it’s chipped (I can’t tell). I also spilled tea in my shirt but am to lazy to wash off the splotch. That is all I have to share for national bleh day.
i don’t like cereal, bleh, i don’t even have nail polish on, i can’t be bothered, bleh, i don’t like chocolate or peanut butter together bleh…i bleh this day and blog post.
I was bleh until I saw the Reese’s. At first I thought it was a Hostess cupcake… but then I remembered about Hostess and their departure from existence. Now I am depressed because no cupcake will ever be the same as a Hostess cupcake. I am also sad because I am on day two of an all-juice detox diet and this scrumptious (that is a real word, right?) picture reminds me that I can’t have sugar anymore. Of course, my will power is waning and I would almost pay you to let me lick the chocolate crumbs from under your clear-coated fingernails. Time for another cup of green tea. Yummers. 😛
Haha! Oh how I wish it would have been a Hostess Cupcake. I ate the rest of that candy (there’s nothing I won’t do for my blog) and honestly had a stomach ache for the rest of the day. Moral: Always choose the detox juice diet over the two year old Reeses. But I would eat a two year old Hostess any day! They were so good!
[…] yesterday afternoon (day 3), I found myself: 1) drooling over a picture of a two-year old Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, 2) salivating as I was recalling the taste of a Chipotle burrito with sour cream, guacamole, and a […]

🙂
Are you sure yo’re ambivalent?
I find myself feeling kind of apathetic towards the whole thing…
Thank you for taking National Bleh Day just serious enough but not so serious that you harshed Bleh Day’s buzz.

Thanks for making me laugh on this, the day of the bleh, Russell, you are friend indeed!
How unfortunate a lady just gave birth on such a bleh day.
I knew it!! I thought Jackie Collins looked like she was preggers in that last post!
🙂

I think my office celebrates National Bleh Day five days a week!
I’d join in but…meh.
(Are you sure you didn’t discover the holiday on a pottery barn wall calendar?
(I bet Grams wrote it there.)
(In magnetic beans.)

Ah! Next time you come home I’ll let you sleep on my desk, my darling daughter. Even if it’s not National Bleh Day!! 😀

Love the color of the placemat!
Thank you! I love that placemat. It works as a really good mouse pad too. 😀
