Welcome Dear Readers. This weekend’s Trifecta Writing Challenge is to write 33 words about something that scares us. You can see more details here.
Anything But That
Earthquakes and snakes scare me to death
And pictures of people who take crystal Meth
But Zombies and monsters and Krueger’s named Fred
Don’t scare me as much as a cellphone that’s dead

Until next time . . . I love you
A dead phone is simply the worst!! Good one. Crystal meth is definitely up there.
It is isn’t it?
NOOOOOOO not a dead cell phone!
Nooooooo!
phew good wholly panic moment! How’s your back?
And crack squirrels… don’t forget the crack squirrels…
Crack squirrels. There’s a very subtle difference between a regular squirel and a squirrel on crack. You must be a nature buff.
I had to cut down on running around in nature in the buff.
LoL!! But you only cut down. Well I would expect no less from Jelloman.
Thanks to the gym I jiggle less like Jello when I run around like that.
I’m probably one of the few remaining who would be completely fine with it if all cell phones stopped working tomorrow. I have one and I occasionally use it, but I wouldn’t be lost without it.
I used to be just like you, Adam, but then I got an iphone and overnight I became on the “them” stay away from iphones because once you get a taste of them, you’re a goner! 😀
The good news, for me anyway, is that I’m too cheap to pay for an iphone. I still have a pay as you go plan and only spend about $25 every three months.
Wow! That’s really good. No wonder you don’t switch over!
A dying cell makes me feel ALIVE! AS I TRY TO CRAM INBLOGCOMMENTSBEFOREITDI
I knew you had a secret to making riding the subway an hour each way fun. And now I know!!
Oh mom, your poems are so cute and clever! I really thing you need to write a book of humorous poems for us!!
Oh thanks honey! Well I sure do enjoy doing them, that’s for sure. Maybe I’ll have to make up a little book! I was going to get you a new car for Christmas but I think now I’ll give you a book of poems . . . .I’m so glad you thought of it! 😀
If I could ever find my phone, I’d probably feel the same way too. Nice one Lidna.
I can never find my phone either, Sandra. You’d think I would come up with some sort of a system, I keep trying, telling myself I’ll keep it by my computer or in my purse or . . .well it’s just never where I think I put it, that’s all! 😀
This was so enjoyable to read 🙂
Oh thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! 😀
Good one Linda, though no cell phone could mean people just can’t find you or want something and that can’t be a bad thing, well sometimes at least.
So true Summers! They are a little invasive! It’s so weird because the other day I was at the grocery store when I realized I didn’t have my phone and I thought someone could kidnap me and no one would ever know what happened to me!! Then I had to laugh because we used to go everywhere without a phone for 95% of our lives. Oh how quickly we forget!
Haha! I’m with you on that one. I bought one of those external batteries that give me an extra several hours. Just got to remember to charge it and bring it.
Oh wow! I should get one of those. I’d probably lose it though. I wont’ allow myself to buy sunglasses anymore because I always lose them the very same day I get them. Every single time!
Ha! Love this Linda – I hate when my cellphone dies. And I love that line about crystal Meth. 😀
I guess there’s also some drug out now that when you take it, it causes your flesh to be eaten off. People are such odd animals, aren’t they?
Indeed they are. Some more than others.
Hilarious, love where you took this neat and funny write. Great job. Thanks for linking up and don’t forget to come back and vote!
Thanks Trifecta! I will try my best to remember to do that!
The horror….the horror…
I know it’s chilling isn’t it, Michael?
I was wondering how you would turn this into something amusing haha
Glad you liked my take, Draug! 😀
Especially a dead cell-phone in combinaiton with zombies
Oh yeah, that ups it by a factor of ten at least!
This is a gem, Linda! Fun 33 words that made me giggle:)
Thanks Valerie!
🙂 Fun!
Thanks Melanie!
the ultimate fear! love it!
Thanks Patti! 😀
Your drawing is so cute…I think I am going to start doodling too..you inspire me …
Ah, thanks Sini! Your drawing is cute too (I’m assuming you drew your gravatar?) I’m glad to hear you are going to start doodling too! It does all adds to the fun! 😀
Hahaha
Such an excellent rhyme, Linda. I love it!
Thanks Kymm! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! 😀
But seriously, those meth pictures ARE terrifying!
Arent they? I don’t understand what would possess someone to try meth after seeing those pictures!
See? I’m so glad your funny didn’t get scared away!
Haha! Thanks Troy! 😀
