Welcome Dear Readers to this week’s Friday Fictioneers’ 100-word story picture-prompt challenge! Here’s this week’s picture prompt:

Trevor, Satan’s Admin Guy
Come into my office, Trevor
Yes Mr. Satan.
Call me Beelzebub.
Yes Mr. Satan.
What’s on today’s agenda?
Shoveling the good intentions off the road, sir.
Cancel.
Why?
I hear the Lord’s creating seagulls today. We need to sabotage that effort. Ideas?
Annoying squawks, sir?
I like that!
They could love eating garbage, sir.
Sweet! What else?
They could pester the hell out of picnickers.
Perfect! Take the afternoon off, Trevor!
Thank you!
And Trevor?
Yes?
Pick up my blue dress from the cleaners on your way home, but keep it on the down low, huh?
Yes Mr. Satan.

HAHA I love it. “Pick up my blue dress” hehe
So glad you enjoyed my little dig at Satan! 😀
😀
ah hah!!! so the devil DOES wear prada! only this time it’s a dress! 😛
I always suspected as much but now we know! Haha!
Yes we do! now let’s keep an eye out for that blue dress 😛
I’ve got my eyes peeled Andy! 😀
Heh!! 😀
:D! My daughter hates when I say that because it ruins her appetite.
Devil in a Blue Dress. That’s just the icing on an already wonderful cake, darling!
Oh thank you Helena! What a great comment! 😀
hahaha this was sheer awesomeness from start to finish! in case i haven’t told you yet, you’re a genius!
Oh KZ! You are so good for my self-esteem! Thank you so much! 😀
Hahaha..Satan is a cross-dresser! I love it!
He is indeed, Dawn! He’s such a Devil! 😀
I can see this going viral with the misogynist-nature-hating crowd.
I say we pelt them at their rallies with hemp-clad Barbies.
And hyphens…
Oh I like that idea, Guap! Where have all the hemp-clad Barbies gone long time passing. Where have *everybody* all the hemp clad Barbies gone long time agoooooo
Beautifully put Linda, as we have always known the devil is the original cross dresser.
HA HA! I wouldn’t be at all surprised Summers!
“The Screwtape Letters” run very far amok. 🙂 (You’re missing an “it” in your second-to-the-last sentence of your post-story FF invitation.)
janet
Gah! I am always leaving out words! I keep getting so far ahead of myself one of these days, I’ll go to post and will have left out every word!! Thanks for the heads up. I’ll go change it. And I’ll have to check out The Screwtape Letters! Intriguing name!
C.S. Lewis. A senior demon writing to a junior demon whose job is to damn someone. Quite good.
Oh I love the premise. Since it’s C.S. Lewis I’ll bet I could get it free online too! 😀
If you want to read (or, I think, listen) online, try here: https://www.google.com/search?q=screwtape+letters+online+pdf&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
Duh! I think I just read your comments in the wrong order! Thank you for the link. I’ll check it out! 😀
No, I looked after I sent the first comment so you were right. Let me know what you think.
Couldn’t ask for a higher promotion for women… 🙂
Haha! Yes indeed!!
Mr. Satan sounds like quite an interesting fellow. Better watch out for that Trevor though. The kid is full of good ideas and might make a run for power one day.
Oh you’re right! He’ll probably be dead by next week. 😀
It would seem Trevor has a problem with names….
Brilliantly funny! Loved it.
Thanks Sandra! 😀 So glad you liked it!
Clapping.
Thank you!!
Dear LVH,
A masterful take on the prompt. Explains a lot.
Aloha,
Doug
Thank you Doug. 😀
Dear Linda,
You could’ve ended this one for me with shoveling the good intentions. ROFLMAO. Really loved it.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Oh I’m so glad to hear that! Thanks Rochelle! 😀
So much fun here! Making gulls annoying little bums like that — they certainly succeeded. And clever slipping in “Devil in a Blue Dress”! But let’s certainly keep that on the down low.
Ha! Yes, I’ve always secretly suspected the Devil had a hand in seagulls! 😀
Very humorous piece. I particularly like that you made Satan a women, and the line “Shoveling the good intentions off the road, sir.” Well done.
So glad you liked it! 😀
Brilliant humor as always.. and Trevor sounds very imaginative..
Ah! Thank you Bjorn! 😀
‘Devil in the blue dress, blue dress, blue dress….devil with the blue dress on!….I’m singing it!….. Diane
Yay! Me too. I love that song!!
Great punch line! But I don;t know I kind of like sea gulls. It saddens me to think they could be from Satan. Now mosquitoes… they are definitely part of the fall.
I agree. Seagulls are lovable. They are our most goofy birds and they do funny things. I believe they have stepped up to take the place of the dodo bird.
Oh that’s good! 🙂
Oh this is a very unique take on the prompt! And nice reference to “Devil in a Blue Dress,” btw. My favorite was the line about shoveling good intentions off the road. Nicely played.
Thank you Miss Tiffany and thanks for stoppiing by! 😀
You’re welcome! It was my pleasure.
Oh now this one is my favorite this week! So so clever! I laughed out loud when I read the last couple of lines. 🙂
Oh Jackie! I’m so glad to hear that! 😀
Hahaha! Well, everybody knows Mr. Satan is a cross-dresser. I don’t know what he’s worried about. I had no idea of his influence upon seagulls. Dirty rotten trick, if you ask me. I suppose he also made them greedy so they would always be saying, “Mine! Mine!”
I’m sure he did. They are probably taking all the garbage back to his office. Well they would. Trevor probably has to stay late every night to clean up! 😀
This is such a fun piece! Who knew it was Satan that made seagulls such cranky little SOB’s. And of course anyone who’s ever been to a college basketball game knows the devil wears a blue dress;) Thanks for sharing this with us.
So glad you liked it Jennie! 😀
ah, confirmation that the devil is indeed a woman! I wonder if that dress has a slit in the back to accommodate her tail 🙂
Ha! Yes I’m imagining it to fit something on the order of the Cowardly Lion’s when he puts on that dress at the witches castle. (I just realized I have no idea what those guys were called and it’s one of my all time favorite movies!)
Too funny about the blue dress! It’s always a delight to see what you come up with.
Oh thank you Patti, what a nice compliment! 😀
