Gregory wasn’t supposed to be in the picture but he stuck his head inside the wreath. He wanted to do bunny ears on all the ladies but I didn’t know how to draw that. He’s been pouting ever since. 😀
It was actually one of the very best Christmas’s ever. Everybody had so much fun. We all played with our remote controlled helicopters. Now I know the secret to a fun Christmas is getting all the adults toys too! HA! So glad you had a good one too.
Well he’s a low time pilot so he hasn’t been able to get in as one yet, it’s very difficult to get you’re foot in the door. He’s been trying for three years, hence all of our moves.
He truly does love to fly though, it’s his passion. We just continue to pray that God will open a door for him when the timing is right.
If he just keeps at it he’s sure to get there. It sounds like he has the drive that it takes! He can’t help but realize his goal with that kind of passion. And who knows? Maybe 2013 will be the year it happens! Wouldn’t that be wonderful!! 😀
It’s so nice to have something your striving for like that in life. He’s so lucky to have that big goal and he’s so lucky to have all your support too! My son is a musician and is constantly striving to improve and get to the next level with his band. To have found something to work towards that he’s passionate about is what really counts. I keep telling him that, but he tends to get impatient! HA! 😀
It is! You must be so proud of your son! Here’s hoping his dreams come true and he doesn’t give up until they do!!
I am really proud of him. And I’m happy for him too. Maybe by the end of this new year you’ll be a drummer in your own band! That sounds like fun doesn’t it? 😀
that sounds like so much fun!
Really, your drawings are becoming more and more impressive. I would like to hang some of these on my walls. Especially the Vegetable Lady. She really gets me motivated to get more greens. 😀 LOVE LoVE! You inspire me to draw more!
Hahahah! I think I’m definitely going to have to write a book starring The Vegetable Lady for my three year old grandson who refuses to eat anything green — unless it’s chocolate chip mint ice cream! And I am looking forward to your drawings Pink! 😀
LOVE your drawings! They inspire me to tap into my inner child like wonder. They really do! Thank you for being that source of creative energy! Yes.. I gots to draw more. I loved that book, Drawing Words, Writing Pictures, something like that. It’s really cool on expressing our words through pictures and drawing emotions through words.. 😀
I’ve never heard of that book. But it sounds wonderful. I really have to go check it out. And I’m so glad I can inspire! HA! Who would have ever thought my “art” would ever be inspiring. And it’s so nice to be in an environment with so many creative people. I think we’ve all found each other because like attracts like. I think is this going to be the best year ever for all of us Pink! 😀
Greetings! Love that reminder of like attracts like! Love it! 😀 And your light, art, YOU are totally inspiring! 😀 And the book and forum is here http://dw-wp.com/. 😀 And WP is definitely a great environment. I have grown soooo much, and definitely the best years are yet to come, under the shelter of kindness and love for all the different sketches we have in life 😀
Oh I love that thought that the best years are yet to come! And thank you so much for sending the link!! I will go check it out right now! Thanks so much Pink! 😀 Oh I just went to the link. I’m definitely bookmarking it! I can already tell I’m going to really enjoy it! 😀
Hi,
It is Xmas morning here in Oz and very early at the moment, just relaxing with my first cup of coffee before the heat of the day starts and the work in the kitchen. 🙂
A Very Merry Xmas to you and your family and a Happy New Year as well, enjoy.
Thank you so much Mags! I’m so glad you are back. I missed you smiling face! “Here in Oz!” HA! It’s so odd to think of Christmas in the heat! But I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and have happy plans for New Years. (Sunbathing at the beach perhaps?)
Oh yes it is hot. It was very hot Christmas Day, but that is the norm. 🙂
A lot of family’s head for the beaches, there would of been a lot of picnics on Christmas Day by the water. 😀
Dad is getting better every day, but I’m still not game to leave him alone for too long, just to go shopping etc. but most likely will be at the beaches ourselves in the New Year.
Then do people open their presents at the beach? Now that would be a sight to see for us Northern Hemispherees!! If I ever get to Oz, I’m going to have to plan a trip at Christmas. Christmas on the Beach! My new goal! 😀
I’m so glad to hear your Dad is on the mend. I hope you do manage to get to the beach on New Years! And I hope you have a wonderful time!! 😀
Presents are usually opened in the morning at home before you head out to the beach.
For people with small children that decide to head out to the beach on Xmas Day, there is normally at least 1 present that has something to do with the beach. A beach ball, or beach bucket and spade, or something to play with in the water. Big kids too sometimes. 😆
Oh I love that tradition! I love the beach and the sun and the water! I bet Christmas day flies by. Here, after we open our presents, frankly, the rest of the day has a tendency to drag a little. I think I could get used to your traditions really quickly! 😀
Thank you so much Ronnie! We’ve had a lot of fun haven’t we? Yikes it’s the Year of the Snake. I just looked that up and it says it’s a good omen because it means your family will not starve! Well what a happy note to start the New Year out on! Yay! Happy New Year Ronnie! 😀
Hey Linda – Robin Coyle has written a post asking for us to mention our favourite bloggers so I’ve mentioned you. My virtual Christmas pressie to you 😀
So glad you liked it Lisa! That ol’ gal Grams has a lot of life in her yet. I have a feeling she’ll be wandering by the blog now and again in the new year (if only to dive in the dumpster). 😀
Anf to you and all of yours.
(Every single one.)
(And Gregory, who I gues was too busy daydreaming in sunday school to get his portrait drawn.)
Very and Muchly, Linda (and 37 and daughters and clan and…), and have a great new year!
Gregory wasn’t supposed to be in the picture but he stuck his head inside the wreath. He wanted to do bunny ears on all the ladies but I didn’t know how to draw that. He’s been pouting ever since. 😀
Have a very Merry Christmas and next year may all your stories be even funnier…if that’s possible…Diane
